We frequently execute this stage through SBIR/STTR Phase I and Phase II efforts, giving clients a low-risk path to prove an idea before committing to scale.

At this stage the work moves out of the lab and into functional, testable prototypes. Cognitive Defense Labs supports clients by rapidly building proof-of-concept systems, integrating them onto relevant platforms, and demonstrating performance in realistic conditions. Because speed matters here, we favor agile Other Transaction Authority pathways and close collaboration with research partners so clients can see credible results quickly and iterate with confidence.

The final stages turn a validated prototype into a mission-ready, producible system. Cognitive Defense Labs supports clients with design-for-manufacturability, environmental and electromagnetic hardening, secure software sustainment, and supply-chain assurance — ensuring a solution is durable, maintainable, and free of high-risk foreign dependencies.
